Comedy Night 2010; a big hit for WEST
WEST raises a fun $5000 at Comedy night and Auction
Thank you to everyone who supported our Comedy Night and Auction held at 3 Restaurant, Franklin in March 2010.
Fast becoming a favorite annual event, the
WEST Comedy night with Dinner and Auction raised over $5000 in March,
due to both the generosity of our sponsors and the talents of local funny man
Jimmy Dunn. Best known for his antics
on NECN’s Fan Attack and as the taxi driver in the locally filmed TV advert for Olympia Sports, Jimmy was a huge hit
with the audience with his insightful and well timed comedy. Taking the stage after a delicious buffet dinner,
he later took up the role of Auctioneer with equal success, exchanging banter for bids on a wide range of exciting
sporting items and memorabilia. Items included a football signed by Tom Brady which was sold for $550, and a pair of
Club Seats for the Celtics vs. Spurs game which went for $400, all of which had been donated to
WEST.
WEST would like to thank everyone who supported the evening and to acknowledge the generous contributions of TD Bank,
Kennedy and Associates, PC., Pine Oaks Golf Course, The New England Patriots Association, Forekicks,
Craig and Tracey Murphy, Tom and Michelle Tormey, "3" Restaurant and many of the local cafes and restaurants who
donated gift cards as contributions to the auction.
