WEST has provided the funding to purchase a new Redcat Infrared Classroom amplification system to benefit hearing impaired, as well as, all non-hearing impaired children in the school system. The system can be utilized in different classrooms to amplify a teacher’s voice to all areas of the classroom enhancing a teacher’s presentation and improving student understanding and performance and testing scores. The system can also be utilized by students during student presentations to enable better voice projection to an audience. Mrs. Quaglia indicates that “teachers who use the Redcat classroom amplification systems have reported improved attention to task, decrease in unwanted behaviors, and elimination of repetition of oral directions.”
