In 2020 we expect that WEST will be asked to support technology, programming, and curriculum to improve and enhance remote learning, to ensure that specials’ teachers in music, art, health, and physical education have the tools they need to enrich students’ learning in new ways, and to provide remote experiences that can take the place of field trips and other special learning events.

 

We also suspect that we will be called upon to help families struggling with job loss and other financial hardship as a result of the pandemic, to provide supplies and other supports so that the children can learn as their parents get back on their feet.  

 

WEST is an all-volunteer organization that is supported by donations. Our work this year is especially critical to ensure that the district can continue to provide enhanced enrichment and to help our community members in need.
