A trained educator from the Discovery Museum will teach the second graders about physical changes of solids, liquids and gasses. Students will learn about physical changes of matter through a demonstration that cannot be replicated in the classroom as the presenter will bring liquid nitrogen and dry ice.
Highlights
A traveling Science workshop titled Physical Changes of Matter 1 from the Discovery Museum visited the second grade students. Each class of second graders learned about the physical properties of solids, liquids and gasses. The trained educator brought liquid nitrogen and dry ice to show dramatic changes to materials like hardening a banana to use as a hammer. Students were engaged and amazed while observing changes to matter and its properties.
